Prophetic vision, sacred vision

Food that grows on water.

Manoomin our relative has fed the People for thousands of years.

Manoomin is the People.

“The threats to Manoomin are threats to Anishinaabeg Peoples and thus

equates to genocide of those Peoples.” J. Lagarde

Manoomin provides Anishinaabeg Peoples with the power and glory that

sacred objects give to true believers, but with taste and texture and smell

and nutritional value that sustains the body while filling the soul.

Manoomin bonds the People together as the flags of Nations signify their

dignity and pride.

Manoomin holds ancient wisdom of the Power of our Earth and ought to

be Protected.

But it’s not. Spoken words are insufficient.

Manoomin needs Protectors. Organized, informed, activated Protectors.

Let us become Protectors of Manoomin.
